Perhaps youve heard this a million times, or maybe its the first. Regardless, its important that you hear it and know it. Gods love is for everyone! Take some time to read over the important message below. Weve also provided you with some helpful links. If you have any questions or want to talk with someone about this, please email us!! Wed love to talk with you!
Its only for the weak, for the faint of heart, those driven to their knees, those who live with scars. Theres power from beyond. Were certain where its from, and thats our source of strength. Before we follow Christ, we need to be advised its only for the weak.
Jesus said, "Unless you are converted and become as a little child, you cannot enter the kingdom of heaven." (Matthew 18:3) At least in part, what Jesus is telling us is that you must come to God humbly, acknowledging that, like a child, you have no accomplishments or achievements with which to commend yourself; that "all [my] righteous deeds are like a filthy garment," (Isaiah 64:6) worth nothing! For only when you admit that you are indeed weak and have no capability to save yourself, then you can find that God is our perfect source of strength. I share this with you, not to preach at you, but to say, as a friend, that all of us have needs. And God wants to be your strength and meet your needs, especially the greatest need a human heart will ever know: a relationship with Himself. So if this is humankinds greatest need and the purpose we are here, then why doesnt everyone have a relationship with God? Because, as the Bible states, "All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God," (Romans 3:23) and "there is not a righteous man on earth who continually does good and never sins." (Jeremiah) This causes a problem because while God is loving and merciful and doesnt want to punish us, He is also holy righteous and just and therefore will punish sin. The Bible states that Gods eyes "are too pure to approve evil and [He] cannot look upon wickedness with favour," (Habakuk 1:13) and that His standard to enter heaven is perfection. Jesus said, "Therefore, you are to be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect" (Matthew 5:48) perfect meaning having never sinned!!! Since no one is perfect, we have no way of saving ourselves and restoring our relationship with God. But this relationship was made possible because Jesus Christ, who is 100% God and 100% man, came into this world to, by His death, pay the penalty for our sins, and by His resurrection, assure us of a place in heaven with Him. "God made [Christ], who knew no sin, to be sin (or to take our sins) on our behalf that we might become the righteousness of God in Him." (2 Corinthians 5:21) God offers this substitution to us freely since we cannot save ourselves (Romans 6:23). This gift can be accepted by faith, which is not of this world, temporary, or just a mere intellectual assent to the facts. In fact, the Bible says rather sarcastically, "You believe God is one? You do well the demons also believe and shudder!" (James 2:19). True saving faith is trusting Jesus Christ alone for salvation. This involves acknowledging Him as God; recognizing Him as Lord and Master over your life; repenting (turning 180 degrees) from all your sins and turning toward God and holiness; and transferring your trust from anything you can do to save yourself and placing it solely in Jesus Christ and what He has done on the cross on your behalf. Jesus Christ didnt come to take the trouble out of life He didnt come to make all the problems go away. He said, "In this world you will have tribulation/ troubles, but take heart! I have overcome the world." (John 16:33) "I have come so that you may have life." In Christ alone will you find hope and peace and life. "And He has said to me, My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness. Most gladly therefore, I will rather boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me. Therefore I am well content with weaknesses, with insults, with distresses, with persecutions, with difficulties, for Christs sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong." (2 Corinthians 12:9-10) Don't wait another minute to begin the AWESOME life that God has planned for you, He's waiting with his arms open right now!! If you're ready, pray to God..
Jesus Christ, I want you to come into my heart. I accept you as my personal savior and ask for your forgiveness from my sins. Please guide me in Your ways, and help me to live for You. I cast Satan out of my life in Your name and proclaim you as Lord of my life! In Your precious and Holy name, Amen
